It helps consumers stay informed about potentially unsafe products and take immediate action to protect their health.
When a food recall is issued by Australian regulatory agencies or manufacturers, the information is verified and then sent as a concise text alert.
The system sends a text alert to all subscribers in the area affected by the food recall. The text alert includes the product name and reason for recall.
Recalls are issued by regulatory agencies including Food Standards Australia New Zealand.
In some cases food manufacturers and distributors may issue a recall directly.
Subscribers receive alerts about recalls involving food products that may pose health risks.
